Anushka’s love for Virat Kohli, final game against Sri Lanka at the Greenfield International StadiumAfter scoring a century, she praised her husband.

Virat Kohli smashed yet another century, his 46th in one-day internationals while Shubman Gill also struck 116 as India thrashed Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 317 runs in the third ODI in Thiruvananthapuram. Kohli hammered an unbeaten 166 off just 110 balls which included 13 fours and eight maximums as the Men in Blue registered the largest victory in terms of runs in the history of ODI cricket.

Kohli became the first batter to slam ten centuries against an opponent in the ODI format. Virat himself has nine tons against West Indies and Tendulkar also had nine against Australia.

Kohli is now tied with Tendulkar and Chris Gayle in the third spot for the most 150-plus scores (five) in the 50-overs format. Rohit Sharma (eight) and David Warner (six) are in the first two positions India recorded the largest victory (317 runs) in terms of runs in the history of ODI cricket. Previously, New Zealand thrashed Ireland by 290 runs in Aberdeen in 2008.

India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli seems to have got his mojo back as he struck his 46th ODI ton in the ongoing third ODI against Sri Lanka at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, January 15. Virat looked at his talismanic best yet again as he eased into his 74th international ton overall. Virat looked domineering as ever throughout the entirety of his innings, as he struck ten fours and one six on his way to the three-figure mark.

Former India skipper Virat Kohli, who is currently a part of the Indian squad for the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka, shared a beautiful picture with his daughter Vamika as she turned two years old on January 11, Wednesday. Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, who got married in December 2017, welcomed the baby girl in January 2021.

It was Kohli’s third ton in the last four ODI innings. He scored his first ODI hundred in over three years during the tour to Bangladesh in December 2022 and followed it up with a brilliant century in the opening game versus Sri Lanka on Tuesday. Coming in to bat after the dismissal of captain Rohit Sharma (42), Kohli added a 131-run stand for the second wicket with another centurion Shubman Gill (116 off 97). Kohli reached the three-figure mark in just 85 balls and remained unbeaten on 166 till the end of India’s innings.

“Firstly, I want to wish you a Happy New Year and congratulate you on the amazing things you have been doing. I did not start like this the last two years, I got a century this year, so hopefully, I can build on this because it is also the World Cup year!” responded Kohli. “We also have the big Test series against Australia so scoring runs in any match gives you massive confidence. I was happy to bat through the innings and get the team 25-30 extra runs with the due coming in. Sometimes, the mindset goes up and down but keeping the mental freshness is helping me,”

Kohli’s golden words on keeping up with massive expectations

Virat Kohli further added that ‘acceptance’ has helped him to keep up with the high expectations from the fans and himself. He admitted that he had started to get frustrated when things were not going well for him over the last couple of years

“It is a very intense process to keep up with expectations. When your cricket is going fine, all things flow well but when the form takes a dip, in my case, frustration started creeping in. It was because I wanted to play like my fans wanted me to. But later I realized that I cannot be away from who I am and have to be true to myself. Even if I’m vulnerable or the worst player around, I cannot be in denial and have to accept it,” shared Kohli.

BharatPe co-founder and managing director Ashneer Grover has jokingly said that the real reason behind his absence from the second season of Shark Tank India is the aura that he created in the opening season. At the same time, Grover also went on to equate his dominance on the show with that of batting megastar Virat Kohli scoring a triple century for Bhopal.

By the virtue of his 113-run knock in Guwahati, Virat succeeded in registering his 45th century in One Day Internationals and 73rd century in international cricket. The batting icon would be eyeing another impactful knock when both sides lock horns in the third and final ODI at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, January 15. India have already sealed the series 2-0.Kohli has now surpassed Sachin Tendulkar, who earlier held the record for most ODI centuries at home, with his 21st ton in 101 innings. Kohli also stormed past Mahela Jayawardene (12,650) to become the fifth-highest run-scorer in the 50-overs format
